Our story❤

My husband and I have been together for almost 10 years (7 at the time of our reception). We grew up on the same street and ended up working at the same retail store. We started talking during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, checking in on each other. Our 1st date was on black Friday of 2012 after we both had worked long shifts. I offerred to reschedule but he insisted we go. I knew there was something there because I felt comfortable enough to sample a piece of his dinner and he let me haha over the next several years we grew closer. We love to go for walks at the beach, hikes, mini and long vacations, and explore unique activities at each trip. He was very patient as I had been in college and grad school for the 1st half of our relationship. During my grad school winter break, my mom had gifted us a getaway in Eagles Mere PA. We trekked up a mountain in the snow to a cute bed and breakfast where he proposed. Apparently he had the ring for months and said it was hard not to propose right then and there but because I was in school we hadn't seen each other much. The ring he chose showed so much of my personality but most importantly, it had the diamond my mother gave him from my grandmother's ring, giving me a piece of one of the most important people and most important relationships to me. 2 weeks before our wedding, the covid pandemic shutdown began. We decided we didnt want to wait to get married so we married on our original date 4/5/2020, 1 day before small gatherings were no longer allowed. 1 year and some days later we got to celebrate our anniversary with our family and friends with a beautiful vow renewal and reception. Now we have been married for 2 years and together for almost 10.
